Carson and Sarah

In 2000 Carson Retirement Residence and Sarah Street Townhomes opened as an inter-generational development on Pittsburgh's South Side. Carson Retirement Residence offers 65 one-bedroom and 4 two-bedroom units for seniors with all of the above amenities mentioned on the earlier projects and the addition of ADA-accessible van transportation. Adjacent to the Carson Retirement Residence is Sarah Street Town Homes, which offers 15 one-bedroom handicap accessible units and 15 two-bedroom affordable family units. These projects were one of the first to start the urban renewal process in Pittsburgh's Southside Neighborhood, and were funded in partnership with the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) and the Urban Renewal Authority of Pittsburgh (URA).
