Providing affordable housing that's More Than Just A Place To Live

Through public-private partnerships a.m. RODRIGUEZ ASSOCIATES, inc. has developed many projects which have won national awards and earned the company recognition as one of the premiere developers of affordable housing. Examples of this include the Carnegie Retirement Residence, a rehabilitated middle school which received the 1996 Best of Seniors' Housing designation by the National Council On Senior Housing, an organization within the National Association of Home Builders. This project was awarded this designation because of the design and inclusion of amenities which include a fully equipped, commercial kitchen and dining room, common lounge areas, game room, wellness center, craft room, hair salon, library and laundry facilities. A large, entry-elevator lobby also invites interaction among residents. This project was funded with Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and Allegheny County Department of Economic Development HOME Funds.
