The Oaks

Located in White Oak Township outside of Pittsburgh, the site was at the bottom of a very steep hill in a suburban neighborhood.

Consisting of 69 affordable senior housing units and common residential spaces, the plan utilizes the sloping nature of the site to partially recess the building into the hillside. With this split level approach, the common spaces thus are enjoyed from both sides along with the upper levels to enjoy views from all areas.
