Founded in 1974, a. m. Rodriguez Associates is a real estate development company dedicated to the creation of affordable housing. Working in Western PA and Ohio, we have developed 3,000 units and currently have twenty-one buildings comprising 1,300 units of housing for seniors and families. These projects include adaptive reuse of historic structures, such as Retirement Residence of Plum, South Hills Retirement Residence, Carnegie Retirement Residence and Woodcrest Retirement Resident, as well as newly built facilities, such as Ross Hill Retirement Residence, Carson Retirement Resident and Sarah Street Townhomes. Most of the units are available to people who are considered low income though market rate units are included in many recent developments.

We specialize in creating elegant and affordable, independent living options for senior citizens as well as housing opportunities for families. Our commitment to creating places that are "More Than Just a Place to Live" is evidenced through the design of the building and the multiple opportunities for social engagement. Common spaces generally include a community room, library, craft room, laundry facilities, fitness center, hair care room, media room, and outdoor patio space, while our newer buildings have greenhouses. We believe that quality of life and wellness are enhanced when there are ample opportunities to be part of a larger active community; our buildings are designed to maximize these interactions. To enable residents to shop or get to appointments and participate in outside activities, accessible vans are available at each building.

a.m. Rodriguez Associates was an early proponent of "green" building and is recognized for being a leader in introducing energy savings design and technologies into affordable housing. All recent projects (including three that have achieved LEED GOLD status) have been designed using the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) guidelines established by the U.S. Green Building Council. By building "green", we not only are building more efficient buildings, we are also building healthier buildings that contribute to the wellness of our residents. Our management company, Congregate Management Services (CMS), was founded in 1978. With a staff of over 70 experienced employees, CMS ensures that the buildings are well maintained and residents have access to programs and services that they need. CMS continues our corporate commitment to high quality buildings with a high standard of care for our residents.
